A nine (9) member Ministerial Advisory Board has been inaugurated for the Ministry of the Interior in Accra as per Section 39 of the Civil Service Act, 1993 (PNDCL 327).

The Board, consisting the Minister, Deputy Minister, Chief Director, one representative each of three(3) Public Sector Organisations and three (3) Private Sector Organisations, is mandated to promote constant interaction between the Ministry and users of its services, as well as to advise the Minister on adjustments in policy directions, planning objectives and operational strategies.

The Chairman of the Board and Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery (MP) was optimistic that the Board would play its role effectively towards the maintenance of peace and safety of the people of Ghana.
