The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has stressed the critical role the Ghana Police Service plays in preventing and detecting crime in the country.

Speaking at the passing-out parade of recruits of the Ghana Police Service, the Minister highlighted the importance of the Police Service in maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety.

Hon. Muntaka congratulated the recruits who have completed their training at the National Police Training School in Accra and urged them to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and respect for human rights in their new roles.

The Minister also emphasised the significance of the 24-hour economy policy and the role the Police Service will play in ensuring its success.

He encouraged the new officers to be vigilant and proactive in maintaining peace and security and to work towards building a safer and more secure Ghana.
