The Minister for the Interior, Mr. Ambrose Dery on Thursday, 20th May, 2021 opened the National Police Command Conference 2021 at Royal Senchi Hotel in the Easter Region.

The theme for the Conference is “The Role of Leadership in Preventing Violent Crimes and Promoting Community Safety”.

The National Police Command Conference (NAPOCC) is a meeting of Senior members of the Police Service. These are members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), Regional Police Commanders ans selected Directors at the National Police Headquarters Formation.

NAPOCC, however, discusses security issues confronting each Police Region; considering the their administration, operations and investigation in relation to the mandate and vision of the Police Service.

At the end of the Conference, a communique will be issued by the Police Administration to announce concerted efforts to be made to accelerate the prevention of violent crimes, especially robbery to ensure community safety.
