Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, Minister of the Interior, has commended the ongoing recruitment process into the security services, describing it as seamless and orderly.

He attributed the success to effective planning and coordination between various security agencies, ensuring a fair and transparent process.

Hon. Muntaka was speaking during a visit to the Fire Service Training School in James Town to assess the ongoing screening exercise. He noted that he has been visiting the screening centers to assess the situation and encourage applicants to go through the process without intermediaries.

Hon. Muntaka outlined the subsequent stages for successful applicants, explaining that after the current initial screening phase, which is documentation and body inspection, shortlisted candidates will proceed to an online aptitude test, followed by medical examinations.

The Minister emphasized that the recruitment process is fair and urged applicants to avoid third-party interference. He took a strong stance against corruption and exploitation, cautioning applicants to beware of fraudulent individuals and middlemen who promise guaranteed success in exchange for money. “Such deceptive practices will not be tolerated,” he warned, adding that anyone involved in these schemes would face immediate arrest and prosecution.

The Minister also thanked security officers for their good work and applicants for choosing to serve Ghana. The recruitment exercise has seen the implementation of digital reforms, including a centralized e-recruitment portal, to enhance transparency and efficiency. The Minister warned against fraud and assured applicants that the process is merit-based and free.
