40 SENIOR FIRE OFFICERS TO UNDERGO FURTHER TRAINING IN MALTA

Forty (40) Senior Officers drawn from all the Regional Commands of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) are scheduled to undergo further training in Malta. The training programme, is a continuation of the successful collaboration between the Ministry of the Interior and the Honorary Consulate of Malta in Ghana, which began in 2018 and culminated in twenty (25) officers receiving similar training in Malta in 2018. An Induction Ceremony has been held in honour of Mr. Edwin Ekow Blankson as the 17th Chief Fire Officer (CFO) of the Ghana National Fire Service. In line with H. E. President Akufo-Addo’s commitment to resourcing the Ghana Police Service to  improve on its services, government has presented 64 vehicles to augment their fleet. INTERIOR MINISTER CUT’S SOD FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF HANGAR FOR POLICE HELICOPTERS

The Minister for the Interior on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 cut sod for the construction of a helicopter hangar for the Ghana Police Service at the Headquarters of the  Formed Police Unit, Ghana Police Depot, Accra. The facility which would include a 514 square meter hangar space for four helicopters, two helipads and a parking space for vehicles is expected to be completed by September of this year.
