The Minister for the Interior, on the advice of the National Security Council and by Executive Instrument, has reviewed the Curfew hours on Binduri Township and its environs in the Upper East Region from 5:00 pm to 6:00 am, effective Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
Government urges Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and people of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them as well as to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.
Meanwhile, the following should be noted by all persons in Binduri Township and its environs:
• Total ban on carrying firearms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons, and any person found with any firearms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
• Total ban on wearing of smock and riding motorbikes throughout the day.
• No war regalia should be worn throughout the day.
