Declaration of Friday, 25th December, 2020, Monday, 28th December, 2020 and Friday, 1st January, 2021 as Public Holidays

The general public is hereby informed that Friday, 25^th December, 2020 and Friday, 1^st January, 2021 which mark CHRISTMAS DAY, and NEW YEAR DAY respectively, are statutory public holidays and should be observed as such throughout the country.

The public is also hereby notified that Saturday, 26^th December, 2020 marks ‘BOXING DAY’ which is a Statutory Public Holiday.

However, 26^th December, 2020 falls on a Saturday and therefore, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana has by an Executive Instrument (E.I), and in accordance with section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, 2001 (601) declared Monday, 28^th December, 2020 as an Additional Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
