The leadership of the All Nigerian Community in Ghana, led by its President, Chief Dr Bayo Asaolu, met with the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, at his office in Accra to discuss some key issues and explore areas for closer collaboration with the Ministry on security, welfare, and bilateral cooperation.
Welcoming the group, Hon. Muntaka described Ghana and Nigeria as “one people divided only by geographical boundaries,” stressing the historic, cultural, and economic bonds that tie the two nations together.
“Our doors remain open,” the Minister assured the delegation, adding that the concerns raised would be looked into and that they would work together to ensure that Nigerians in Ghana live and thrive in peace and safety.
He noted that the government values the contribution of foreign nationals in Ghana but insisted they must operate within the laws of Ghana. He urged continuous dialogue to address challenges promptly.
The President of the Nigerian Community thanked the Minister for the warm reception and expressed confidence in the Ministry’s willingness to collaborate on matters of mutual interest, including security and community integration.
