Research Statistics and Information Management Directorate (RSIM)

This Directorate conducts and commissions research into policy and strategy options, compiles and analyses data for the Ministry in particular and government as a whole. It maintains a data bank for effective and efficient decision-making. This Directorate also projects the good image of the Sector both within and outside the country by disseminating information on the Ministry’s policies, activities and procedures as well as providing a mechanism for receiving feedback on Government’s policies and activities. National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons

The National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons is an Agency established by an Act of Parliament; Act 736 of 2007. The Commission exists among other things, to prevent, combat and eradicate the illicit trade in small arms and light weapons; educate and sensitize the public and provide information on the dangers of small arms and light weapons in order to discourage their production.
