The Ministry of the Interior has emerged winner of the maiden edition of the 2024 Civil Service Week Inter-Ministerial Quiz Competition held at the Nathan Quao Auditorium of the Civil Service and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana in Accra.
Ms. Barbara Sackey, a Programme Officer who represented the Ministry emerged victorious after three competitive rounds of questions which covered areas such as Administrative Instructions, Civil Service Code of Conduct and the History of the Ghana Civil Service.
The quiz competition formed part of activities for the 2024 Civil Service Week Celebration under the theme, ‘Combatting Threats to Sub-Regional Peace and Security: Perspective of the Civil Service’.
Presenting the award to the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Henry Quartey commended the award winner for making the Ministry proud. He said this is a testament that the Ministry has good human resource which should be harnessed to improve the services of the Ministry and also win awards in the coming years.
He pledged his continuous support to the staff and the Ministry as a whole and stated that together the Ministry will work hard to achieve its mandate.
