The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Henry Quartey, this afternoon met with the Executives of the Association of Private Security Organisations, Ghana (APSOG) in his office in Accra.

The meeting forms part of measures by the Ministry to streamline the operations of Private Security in Ghana and to further enhance their operations within the sector with the overall goal of ensuring peace, safety and security in the country.

Hon. Henry Quartey used the opportunity to urge all private security operators who have not registered or renewed their licenses with the Ministry to do so to avoid sanctions.

After several discussions for the betterment of the private security industry, the meeting ended successfully. The Executives of the Private Security Organisations thanked the Minister for the meeting and his vision for the private security operation in Ghana. They pledged their support for the way forward.
