The Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency Shlomit Sufa called on the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Ambrose Dery at his office in Accra to inform him about an upcoming business visit by some Israeli Companies next week to find and engage partners as well as discuss issues related to new technology in the area of security.

The Ambassador explained that the companies have a wide spectrum of expertise which will go a long way to help Ghana. She added that seminars, dedication session and roundtable discussions will be held during their visit with various stakeholders such as Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, National Disaster Management Organisation, Ghana National Fire Service and the private sector among others.

Hon. Ambrose Dery, who warmly welcomed the Ambassador, thanked her for the visit and assured that necessary arrangements will be made to meet the companies for partnership and technology transfer which will help improve the existing systems in the country especially in the area of security.

The Minister commended Israel for their advancement in technology and called on the Western World to be pragmatic in supporting their allies for a common good.

Hon. Ambrose Dery, who touched on issues of refugees stated that Ghana is committed to hosting refugees and would not mind allowing a number of refugees into the country when the need arises but will do so in an acceptable manner that will not compromise the peace and security of Ghana.
