The Deputy Minister for the Interior, Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlarbi, on behalf the Minister, led a delegation from the Ministry to pay respect to the distinguished statesmen and military officers who tragically lost their lives in the recent helicopter crash at the Ceremonial Gardens of the Flagstaff House.
The delegation also visited the Ministries of Defence, Environment, Science, and Technology, and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) headquarters to sign condolence books and commiserate with their management and staff.
Accompanied by the Acting Chief Director, Directors, and other senior officials from the Ministry, Hon. Terlarbi expressed heartfelt condolences, describing the departed as gallant patriots who dedicated their lives to the service of Ghana.
The nation continues to mourn the loss of the victims, which include Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence; Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology; Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Ag. Deputy National Security Coordinator; Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC); and Mr. Samuel Aboagye, Ag. Deputy NADMO Director-General.
The crash also claimed the lives of three Ghana Air Force personnel, Squadron Leader Peter Anala, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
