A delegation from the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, led by the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, called on the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, at his office in Accra to discuss matters of concern including security and collaboration.The Volta Regional Minister expressed gratitude to the Interior Minister for the audience and reiterated the region’s commitment to collaborating with the Ministry to ensure peace and security in the region, highlighting the Volta Region as a key hub for investors.
The chiefs, represented by the President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of the Anfoega Traditional Area, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, assured Hon. Muntaka of their support in keeping the country safe since peace and security is a shared responsibility.
Hon. Interior Minister thanked the delegation for their visit and support in maintaining peace and security in the region.
He described the Volta Region as one of the most peaceful in Ghana, based on available data. The Minister appealed to the traditional leaders to continue supporting the Ministry and the government to maintain peace and stability in the country.
