The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Henry Quartey, has commended the Preventing Electoral Violence and Providing Security to the Northern Border Regions (NORPREVSEC) Ghana Programme team for their tireless efforts in promoting security and stability in the Northern Regions of Ghana.

 

During a courtesy call on the Minister, Hon. Henry Quartey acknowledged the significant support of the European Union, which has enhanced security capabilities, built capacity, and improved response to emerging security challenges.

 

Hon. Quartey praised the programme’s achievements, which include training over 1,300 personnel and reiterated Government’s commitment to supporting the programme’s efforts and ensuring its success. He emphasised the importance of collaboration in building a safer and more prosperous Ghana and looked forward to the continuing progress in promoting peace and security in the country.

Mr. Daniel Roelas Cerezal, leader of the delegation reaffirmed the NORPREVSEC team’s commitment to training more officers and ensuring the security of the Northern Regions.

The courtesy call strengthened the partnership between the Ministry and the NORPREVSEC Ghana Programme team, briefing the Minister on their accomplishments and plans.

The Preventing Electoral Violence and Providing Security to the Northern Border Regions of Ghana (NORPREVSEC) programme, aims to strengthen resilience and security in the five northern regions of Ghana.
