The Minister for the Interior, on the advice of the National Security Council and by Executive Instrument, has reviewed the curfew hours on the following communities in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am, with effect from Monday, July 13, 2026.

2. Abrewanko
3. Abrewanko junction
4. Nyambo
5. Nyambo junction
6. Shari
7. Kromase
8. Power
9. Nyakoma
10. Odomi
11. Bonakye and Nkwanta
Government continues to urge Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and People of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them, as well as to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.
Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the communities from carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive objects/ weapons, and any persons found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
