The Minister for the Interior, on the advice of the National Security Council and by Executive Instrument, has renewed the Curfew hours on Nalerigu Township and its environs in the East Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am, effective Monday, August 25, 2025.
Government continues to urge Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and People of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.
Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the Nalerigu Township and its Environs in the East Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region from carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons, and any person found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
