The Hon. Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, today reiterated Government’s commitment to promoting responsible gaming practices in Ghana during a working visit to the Gaming Commission of Ghana Headquarters.

The Minister emphasized the need to strengthen the current regulatory framework governing the gaming industry in Ghana, ensuring that operators adhere to strict standards and guidelines.

He noted that enhancing measures to prevent underage gaming and problem gaming, improving transparency and accountability in gaming operations, and ensuring fair revenue generation for the government will go a long way to improving and sanitising the gaming industry.

The Minister pledged his support for the Gaming Commission of Ghana, acknowledging the challenges they face in regulating the industry. He expressed his commitment to working closely with the Commission to address their challenges and promote a safe, responsible gaming environment in Ghana.

The Acting Gaming Commissioner, Mr. Siisi Quainoo was grateful for the Minister’s visit and added that the Commission will continue to promote responsible gaming practices in the country.
