Deputy Minister for the Interior, Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlarbi addressed multi-stakeholders at the opening ceremony of a consultation workshop aimed at finalising Ghana’s strategy against organised crime.
The meeting, organised by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), brought together relevant stakeholders to present the strategy, gather input, and explore potential partnerships to support its implementation.
In his remarks, the Deputy Minister emphasised Government’s commitment to combating organized crime and ensuring the safety and security of citizens. He highlighted the importance of collaboration and partnerships in achieving this goal.
Hon. Terlabi commended the UNODC for its support and urged all stakeholders to remain committed to the strategy’s success, emphasising that collective action is essential to building a safer Ghana.
The meeting provided an opportunity for stakeholders to engage in discussions and share their expertise and experiences in addressing organized crime. It also provided a platform to present the draft strategy to representatives from government agencies, civil society, law enforcement, and international partners.
