Baitulmaal, a nonprofit international humanitarian non-governmental organization headquartered in Dallas, USA, has donated various pieces of hospital equipment to the Ghana Police Service Hospital in Accra to support healthcare delivery, improve patient care and strengthen service delivery.
The donation was received on behalf of the Ghana Police Service Hospital by the Deputy Minister for the Interior, Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi.
Speaking at the presentation, Hon. Terlabi expressed the government’s appreciation to Baitulmaal for the gesture. He noted that the Police Hospital plays a vital role in providing health services to the public, especially because its staff do not go on strike.
He added that there is a need to support the facility to enable it to continue serving the good people of the country.
Presenting the items, Mr. Tarik Halim Mohammed, Country Director of Baitulmaal, said the organization is happy to support institutions across the world and expressed his commitment that Baitulmaal would continue to play its role in improving health and wellbeing in communities.
Baitulmaal serves as a bridge between the compassion of donors and the needs of beneficiaries. The organization provides life-saving, life-sustaining, and life-enriching humanitarian aid to under-served populations.
