The 2018 Conflict and Crisis Management Course has ended in Accra with a call on participants to share the knowledge they had acquired from the training. Staff of the Ministry of the Interior’s Head Office has received training in fire safety. The one-day course was to raise their awareness on fire hazards in the workplace and how to act safely in the event of an emergency fire situation. The Minister for the Interior, Mr. Ambrose Dery, this morning commissioned a Smoke chamber at the Ghana National Fire Service Training school in Accra. The chamber which has been named after Hannah Yawson, a fire personnel who died during a simulation exercise by the GNFS at the cedi House is to enable fire fighters gain exposure in fighting fire within a confined space.
