The Spanish government on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 donated vehicles, computers and other equipment to the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) and the Ghana Police Service (GPS) to boost their operations. The donation was to support the government of Ghana to manage irregular migration and other cross-border crimes. The Minister for the Interior, Mr. Ambrose Dery on Thursday, 20th August, 2020 commissioned a new four-storey office complex for the Cantonment Divisional Police headquarters in Accra. The multifaceted building is to house the Cantonments Police Station which comprise of the Divisional and District Police Commands and the Motor Transport and Traffic Department (MTTD) offices as part of government’s effort to resolve the logistic constraints of the Ghana Police Service.
