The Ministry of the Interior has taken its turn at the Government Accountability Series, highlighting key achievements and ongoing reforms within Ghana’s security sector under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama with a focus on Retooling, Infrastructure, Digitalization, Peace and Security, and Legislation and Legal Framework.
Through its Minister, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the Ministry has made significant strides towards becoming a more transparent, accountable and technology-driven institution, in line with the Government’s national transformation and resetting agenda.
The Minister noted that Government remained committed to retooling the security and intelligence agencies to enhance operational efficiency, improve logistics and strengthen service delivery.
Hon. Muntaka further reaffirmed the Ministry’s determination to leverage every available opportunity to effectively deliver on its mandate and implement programmes aimed at safeguarding peace and security across the country.
He assured Ghanaians that the Ministry would continue to pursue reforms and investments to strengthen the security sector and contribute to a safer, more secure Ghana.
