The Ministry of the Interior has joined the nationwide 2026 Civil Service Week celebrations with a massive cleanup exercise at its offices and surrounding environs.
The exercise, held as part of activities to mark the Week, saw staff of the Ministry, led by the Chief Director, Mrs. Doreen Annan, sweeping, weeding and cleaning around the Ministry’s premises.
Speaking after the exercise, Mrs. Annan commended the staff for their dedication and continuous support during the annual Civil Service Week Celebrations.
She urged them to fully participate in the remaining activities lined up for the Week, including a thanksgiving service, policy fair and exhibition, public lectures, food competition, and other indoor games.
The 2026 Civil Service Week Celebration is being organized by the Office of the Head of Civil Service on the theme: “The Resetting Agenda for Sustainable Development in Ghana: The Civil Service’s Responsibility’.
Civil Service Week is observed annually to recognize the contribution of civil servants to national development and to promote efficiency, professionalism, and patriotism in public service.
