The first batch of National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) which has come an end to usher in a news batch has presented illegal firearms seized during their operations to the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak.
Receiving the items, Hon. Muntaka thanked the Minister for Lands and National Resources and the NAIMOS for the good work and hand over the illegal firearms to the National Commission on Small and Light Weapons for marking and destruction according to law. He assured that every single item especially the excavators seized will be punished in the national dailies
He urged the good people of Ghana and the communities to support the government and NAIMOS for the fight against illegal mining as it affects the environment and human lives.
He urged the new batch of NAIMOS to carry out their duties professionally and with trust to achieve their objectives.
