His Royal Majesty, Wa Naa, Alhaji Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo VI, has thrown his weight behind the Gun Amnesty initiative aimed at ridding the country of illegal arms.
Wa Naa made the call during the Minister’s visit to the region to commission the Upper West Regional Police Headquarters in Wa and engage with stakeholders to promote peace and social cohesion in the region.
Wa Naa urged the Minister and relevant institutions to ensure that illegal arms in the system are seized, as they pose a threat to security in the communities and the country as a whole.
Wa Naa commended the Minister for his good work and prayed for God’s guidance and protection as he delivers on his mandate to maintain peace and stability in the country.
Hon. Muntaka thanked Wa Naa for his support to the security services in the region and assured him of the government’s continuous commitment to ensuring peace and stability in the country.
