Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, Minister of the Interior, joined His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama this morning at the Police Service Memorial Day ceremony at the Police National Cenotaph in Accra.

The event honoured police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, with wreath-laying, lighting of the perpetual flame, and a flag-raising ceremony. Prayers were said for the fallen heroes, their families, and the nation, for peace, security, and development.

The annual event recognizes the sacrifices of police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the nation. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including government officials, security officers, and families of the fallen heroes.

The Police Memorial Day is an important annual occasion to reflect on the bravery and dedication of Ghana’s police officers and to reaffirm the nation’s commitment to supporting them in their critical work.
