The Chief Director of the Ministry of the Interior, Mrs. Adelaide Anno-Kumi has asked security services to continue with their good work and keep the country safe for peace and development.
She said keeping the country safe needs effective collaboration and exchange of information and intelligence among the Security Services to strategise to handle situations.
Mrs. Anno-Kumi was speaking at the 2023 Mid-Year Sector Performance Review with Agencies under the Ministry of the Interior in Accra.
She noted that security and safety of the country remains paramount to the Government and has been demonstrated by the increase in the staffing capacity of the Security Services as well as the provision of logistics to enable the Sector to improve on its service delivery.
The Chief Director explained that the Review Meeting allows the Ministry to reflect on its programmes, projects, achievements, successes chalked, the challenges encountered as well as financial issues and outstanding commitments for the first half of the year, 2023, and to deliberate on recommended solutions.
She commanded all the Heads of the Agencies under the Ministry for exhibiting selflessness and dedication toward their work.
She also thanked all stakeholders of the Ministry for their enormous support and commitment to the work of the Ministry and its Agencies.
