Interior Ministry participates in Civil Service Week Cleanup Exercise

The Ministry of the Interior has joined the nationwide 2026 Civil Service Week celebrations with a massive cleanup exercise at its offices and surrounding environs. The exercise, held as part of activities to mark the Week, saw staff of the Ministry, led by the Chief Director, Mrs. Doreen Annan, sweeping, weeding and cleaning around the Ministry’s premises. The Ghana Chamber of Mines has presented relief items to National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to support victims of the recent floods across the country as Government calls for a collective disaster response. Update On Curfew in the Bawku Municipality and its Environs, Upper East Region

Government Strengthens Identification Verification System

The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has announced the implementation of the National Identity Register (Amendment) Regulations, 2026 (L.I. 2523), aimed at strengthening Ghana’s national identification system and enhancing the protection of citizens’ personal data.
