Mr. Ambrose Dery, Minister for the Interior, today held discussions with his counterpart Minister from Spain Mr. Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gomez, in Accra, during the latter’s working visit to Ghana. The objective of the meeting was primarily to discuss the possibility of a cooperation agreement between the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of Ghana in  the area of Security and Crime  Fighting and a convention on the transfer of sentenced persons between the two countries. The Minister for the Interior has on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument has imposed a 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. curfew on Chereponi and Saboba Townships and their environs, effective, Thursday, 3rd January, 2019.
