The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Ambrose Dery, has stressed the determination of Government to leave no stone unturned in its fight against corruption in the country.
He said the Ministry of the Interior and its Agencies had begun measures to curb the corruption menace with each Agency Head tasked to develop an anti-corruption plan for implementation.
“We want to establish anti-corruption mechanisms within the systems of all the Agencies. We do not want to discourage outsiders who want to invest in the country for we know the importance of the role of the private sector in national development.”
The Minister was speaking at a meeting in his office with the Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, H. E. Maria Alonso.
H. E. Maria Alonso lauded the effort and assured the Minister that her Government was ready to partner the Government of Ghana in the fight against corruption and drug trafficking.
She also called for greater collaborative efforts in tackling illegal migration.
