– AMBROSE DERY

A tet- a- tet conversation between the Interior Minister, Mr. Ambrose Dery and the Czech Ambassador, H. E. Margita Fuchsova
The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Ambrose Dery, has reiterated the Government’s commitment to maintain the peace and security that already exists in the country.
He said that of the ten persons who lost their lives during the recent chieftaincy clashes in Bimbilla, nine were women and children. This, he said, was unfortunate because though the conflict was created by men, defenseless women and children had to pay the ultimate price and called for renewed efforts in the protection of women and children in such situations.
The Minister made this statement during a courtesy call on him by the Czech Ambassador to Ghana, H. E. Margita Fuchsova.
On her part, the Ambassador pledged the readiness of the Government of the Czech Republic to foster greater collaboration with the Government of Ghana and the Ministry of the Interior in the areas of security, education, disaster management and anti-terrorism.
